    Ananthagiri Hills are about 90 kilometers from Hyderabad and 6 km from Vikarabad. This is a forest area in Rangareddy District and the starting point of the Musi River. The lush greenery of the hills is captivating and attracts many visitors, who want to escape city life. Ananthagiri is also home to a Vishnu temple named Padmanabha Swamy temple Anantha. During weekends, devotees throng to the temple.

    Ananthagiri offers many opportunities for trekking and camping. There are two hiking trails in the woods, which starts from the Anantha Padmanabha Swamy Temple and another that begins about 0.5 km from the temple, to Kerelli. Deccan Trails campsite is in Ananthagiri Hills and offers a wonderful opportunity to see the wildlife that inhabit the surrounding woods. In addition, campers can enjoy rock climbing, Burma bridge, spider web and swing Tarzan and many other activities at the camp.

    Other sightseeing Ananthagiri Hills Vikarabad: 

    Ananthapadmanabha swamy Temple is one of the main attractions in Ananthagiri hills. which had been built by Nizam nawabs 400 years ago and has great historical significance. Most people who visit this temple first and then proceed with trekking.

    Lake or reservoir Nagasamudram kotipally is at a distance of 20 km with respect Ananthagiri hills. Lake is large, clear and offers beautiful views in monsoon as it is completely filled with water.

    How to arrive? 

    From Hyderabad, there are two ways to reach Vikarabad Ananthagiri through hills. APPA Junction (road) - - Chilkur - Moinabad-Chevella - Manneguda - Vikarabad (approx 60km out APPA). A Hyderabad route

    The other route is JNTU (KPHB) - BHEL - Patancheru - Rudraram - Sadasivpet (left) - Mominpet - Kothagadi - Vikarabad (about 90 kilometers). After reaching Vikarabad, Ananthagiri continue to the road.
